Yes!  We are also members of the Homebuilders Association of Illinois and the National Association of Homebuilders.

Is building a home in today's economy a good idea?

Yes!  As a long-term investment, homeownership is still one of the best investments for individual households.

How much do you charge per square foot for a new home?

This is one of the most frequent questions we receive from our customers and probably the most difficult to answer.  Generally, a new house will probably cost somewhere between $90 and $200 per square foot.  Unfortunately, there is no "magic" number and the cost of your home will depend greatly on a number of variables including site characteristics, interior detailing and fixtures, construction materials, and cost of the lot.  The best thing you can do is to have a house plan professionally drafted including a site plan and then we can provide you with a complete estimate.

During the building process, will we work directly with you or do we have to work through a middle person?

You will work directly with Phil throughout the entire building process as he is completely responsible for all aspects of the construction.

Do you provide references?  How can we know if your customers are happy with your work?

You will notice that there are many references right here on our website and in other promotional materials.  While we do not ask our customers to provide their contact information to field calls from people they do not know, we do maintain a list of project addresses in our office and you are welcome to drive by these projects to see our work for yourselves.

Is your company licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes!  We are licensed, bonded and insured.  In fact, we carry both a Liability Insurance policy and a Worker's Compensation Insurance policy.

Do you provide warranties?  What about service after the sale?

Absolutely!  Our work is 100% guaranteed.  Taets Custom Homes stands firmly behind every square inch of the homes it builds.  If you should require service on any portion of you new home after you have moved in, we will be there as soon as possible to take care of it.

Different areas of any project are affected differently, and we will provide you with detailed warranty information during the contract period.
